Job Description

Join a growing healthcare company as an IT Systems Administrator in a 6-month contract-to-hire role based out of Dallas, Texas. This is a true jack-of-all-trades position for a technically versatile professional who thrives in a hands-on, fast-moving environment. You'll travel to healthcare offices across the United States - up to 75% travel required - helping set up and support infrastructure including VoIP systems, Fortinet networking equipment, and Windows-based systems. Compensation is $40-$45/hr on contract, converting to an $80,000-$90,000 salary upon hire. Must be authorized to work in the US. This is an exceptional opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys variety and doesn't want to be tied to a desk. No two weeks look the same - you could be racking and stacking Fortinet equipment at a clinic in one city, configuring VPNs and DNS at another location the next week, and handling help desk escalations and system administration in between. The travel-heavy nature of this role gives you exposure to a wide range of environments and infrastructure setups that most IT roles simply can't offer, accelerating your technical breadth at a rapid pace. The healthcare setting adds meaningful purpose to the work, ensuring that the offices and staff you support can focus on patient care without technology getting in the way. With a clear contract-to-hire path, competitive hourly compensation, and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with matching, this role offers both stability and growth for the right candidate.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50-75% across the United States
  • Experience racking and stacking Fortinet equipment and running network cables
  • Experience setting up VoIP systems, DNS, and VPNs
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365
  • Layer 3 network and systems support experience
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in network and server support
  • 3+ years of hands-on VoIP experience
  • Familiarity with Nextiva VoIP systems
  • Experience supporting healthcare environments or multi-site organizations
What You Will Be Doing:
  • 35% Network Infrastructure - Fortinet equipment setup, cable runs, DNS, VPN configuration
  • 25% VoIP Installation and Support - system setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • 25% Systems Administration - Windows suite, Active Directory, and Office 365
  • 15% Help Desk Escalations - end-user support and on-site troubleshooting
Daily Responsibilities:
  • 55% On-Site Infrastructure Deployment - travel to healthcare offices, equipment installation, network setup, and VoIP configuration
  • 30% Systems Administration and Support - Windows, Active Directory, Office 365, and help desk escalations
  • 15% Documentation and Project Coordination - site documentation, configuration records, and travel planning
