JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Are you a design professional who thrives on shaping high-quality living environments and enjoys working across multiple projects?

We’re looking for a Design Manager to join the team on a 12-month contract, supporting a portfolio of Build to Rent and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation projects across Australia.

This is a client-side role where you’ll play a key part from early design through to delivery. You’ll work across multiple assets, collaborating closely with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to drive strong, consistent design outcomes.

With a diverse pipeline of residential-led developments at various stages, this role offers variety, visibility, and the chance to influence projects from concept to completion.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Support design management across multiple projects from concept to completion
• Coordinate consultants and driving alignment across design, cost, and program
• Review documentation to ensure quality, compliance, and buildability
• Partner with delivery teams to support smooth project execution
• Identify risks and opportunities to optimise design outcomes

About You:

You’re a collaborative and commercially minded Design Manager who enjoys working across multiple projects and balancing design intent with delivery outcomes. You’re confident engaging with a range of stakeholders and bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to everything you do.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator
• Background in residential, mixed-use, BTR, or student accommodation projects
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to balance design quality with program and cost considerations
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
