Job Title: Equipment Operator - Deep Foundation Contractor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team in Richmond, VA, for a reputable deep foundation contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a Hitachi 210 excavator to assist with drilling and setting piles into the ground. This role offers a balanced mix of equipment operation and general labor tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a Hitachi 210 excavator to assist with drilling and setting piles into the ground.
  • Perform tasks related to heavy equipment operation, including skid steer and mini-excavator use.
  • Engage in concrete labor and similar tasks as part of the job's labor component.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure project goals are met efficiently and safely.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of experience operating excavators and skid steers.
  • 2+ years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in heavy equipment operation and general labor tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in concrete labor or similar fields.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment

Work takes place Monday through Friday, from 7am to 5pm, on various sites including Lynchburg, Roanoke, Charlottesville, Richmond, Virginia Beach, Hampton, and Newport News.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
