Financial Analyst | Mason, MI

Salary Range: $68,000 - $102,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cost analysis of manufacturing operations, including materials, labor, and overhead.
• Develop, monitor, and report on annual budgets and financial forecasts for production facilities.
• Generate comprehensive financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to plant performance.
• Conduct thorough variance analysis, explaining deviations from budget and prior periods for manufacturing costs.
• Evaluate capital expenditure projects by preparing financial models, ROI, and payback analyses.
• Collaborate with operations teams to identify cost reduction opportunities and improve process efficiency.
• Support inventory valuation and analyze cost of goods sold (COGS) to optimize working capital.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills.
• Proficiency in cost accounting principles and variance analysis within a manufacturing context.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for financial reporting and data extraction.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and present actionable insights using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Understanding of manufacturing operations, production costs, and supply chain dynamics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in financial modeling for production planning and inventory optimization.
