Job Description

Talent Acquisition Specialist (Contract) Our organization is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist for a targeted two-month recruitment project based in Bridgeton. This role focuses on the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, from initial talent attraction to final offer coordination, supporting various high-priority hiring initiatives across the business.

Core Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage potential candidates to build pipelines for designated business units.

  • Facilitate talent strategy meetings with hiring managers to define specific role requirements.

  • Perform initial screenings to assess candidate qualifications against established job criteria.

  • Design and execute recruitment strategies in collaboration with department leads.

  • Coordinate the interview process, including the creation of travel itineraries and logistical arrangements.

  • Act as a point of contact for candidates, ensuring a professional experience throughout the hiring process.

  • Utilize various sourcing techniques to reach both active and passive talent pools.

  • Maintain recruitment data and documentation within the applicant tracking system.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resources, specifically in a high-volume or project-based environment.

  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and professional sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed.

  • Ability to utilize Boolean search strings and other digital tools to identify niche talent.

  • Organizational skills necessary to manage multiple recruitment projects and interview schedules simultaneously.

  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly for scheduling and reporting.

  • Experience with visual design tools like Canva for creating recruitment marketing materials is preferred.

  • High school diploma required; a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred.

This position operates on a full-time schedule with a hybrid flexibility of one day per week remote following the completion of initial training. We are looking for a professional who can integrate quickly into a team of five and contribute to immediate hiring goals.

3. Lead talent strategy meetings with hiring managers.
4. Conduct phone screens to evaluate candidates against defined job criteria and recommend applicants based upon skills and experience.
5. Partner with managers to design and implement creative recruiting strategies.
6. Maintain strong partnerships and influence with business leaders, hiring managers, compensation, talent management leadership and HR Business Partners.
7. Schedule interviews for hiring team, including developing candidate travel itinerary and arranging travel plans.
8. Recommend hiring decisions to hiring managers and lend expertise that supports hiring of high-quality candidates.
9. Work across organizational boundaries to strengthen centralized staffing process and ensure implementation of recruiting and staffing methods to meet needs across all geographical locations.
10. Work with the field and recruiting teams to adjust recruiting practices to meet evolving staffing needs.
11. Serve as a brand ambassador by promoting Hussmann to potential candidates at various events (career fairs, information sessions etc.).
