He is a Certified Public Accountant (LACPA Member), Tax and Financial advisor, holding a Master’s degree in Financial Management from University of Bordeaux. CEO of Hatem Audit Firm since 1993, Mr. Hatem is engaged in other activities including forensic audit and consultancy to business and international non-profit organization. He has an auditing, tax and accounting background and work as a court-appointed auditor for a number of high-profile cases in Lebanon. A LACPA activist since 1996, he has held several leadership and governance roles within the Lebanese Association of Certified Public Accountants, including Board Member and Secretary (2009–2011). He also served on the Disciplinary Board and chaired multiple key committees, notably the Public Relations Committee, the Scientific Research and Development Committee, and the Technology and Digital Transformation Committee. In parallel with his professional engagement, he is an active social and professional advocate. In 2006, he founded Koudourat Association, an organization dedicated to guidance, skills development, and the facilitation of employment and training opportunities for university and technical institute graduates. From 2017 to 2025, he served as Secretary General of the Lebanese Tax Association. He currently serves as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Lebanese Association for Taxpayers’ Rights (ALDIC), and as Chair of the Economic and Financial Committee of the Maronite League.
